African History Research Seminar
Seminar, SWS: 2, lecture number: 55509
This course will be given by Dr. Constantin Katsakioris
You are an MA or PhD student and you wish to write an article for a journal or a book. You have a good idea and empirical material, but you are not sure how to exploit it and give it the proper form. In this seminar we will learn how to write a good article: How to present our argument from the introduction to the conclusion. To achieve this objective, we will scrutinize a sample of excellent articles published in peer-reviewed journals: one article per week through X-ray. We will study carefully how the authors succeeded in telling their story and hiding the weaknesses. Simultaneously, time while be reserved in each session for participants who wish to present their Master thesis projects/chapters, PhD projects/chapters, or their own articles in progress.
Given the current situation, this course will probably be given digitally. Please get in touch with the lecturer as soon as possible and, where applicable, register in E-Learning and CampusOnline.
