Development Studies between Concepts and Practices: An Interdisciplinary Perspective

The seminar introduces seminal contributions to the development debate in the age of Global Agenda politics that had significant impact on the practitioners’ discussions. The selection of topics ranges from poverty trap approaches, via the meaning of institutions and the challenges to measure development to the introduction of new technologies and post-development concepts. Specialists of technology and development, religion and development, economics and development as well as post-development Buen Vivir, coming from various disciplines will chair related sessions. Two sessions are reserved for participants seeking to invite two practitioners for a discussion of topical development issues.
