Research Colloquium: Contribution by Junior Fellow Oladapo Ajayi

– Fuji: The Contemporary Yoruba Urban Space and the Performance of Gbajumo or the Bigman –

In the framework of a regular research colloquium in which guest scholars, staff members and students present their research topics and the results of their work, BIGSAS Junior Fellow Oladapo Ajayi will present his research on Fuji music, a popular Yoruba music genre. In particular, he will focus on the social categories of how Gbajumo, or "the Bigman", is performed in/through Fuji.
